I don’t normally review but this was exceptional. Maciej arrived promptly to quote and had a clear understanding and contributions to make to my design ideas. He spent time to ensure the plan was complete and marked out the site so I could see the plan on the ground which is very helpful. The design included levelling areas, a path, edging, patio, handrails, arch, pergola, raised beds and hedge. The site was finished with turfing.
When I was let down by a supplier he came round that evening to discuss amendments and proceeded to make adjustments to add a feature. Maciej manages his work in an organised, thought out and comprehensive manner. The site was left tidy each day and work was carried out to a very high standard with no short cuts. Minor adjustments and a change in pebble choice were incorporated and supported with good humour. I could not be more delighted. Looking out my at new garden makes me smile. I have no hesitation in recommending Maciej as he has sound knowledge and ability in all aspects of landscaping and has great communication with his client.
by MC, Aboyne | Work completed September 2025.
Following a recommendation from a friend we employed Maciej Swinoga of Oakwood Creative Landscaping Ltd in October 2025 to redesign and build the exit area of our driveway. For years it had been an eyesore and a bit of a practical nightmare (apart from anything else it is on a steep slope!).
We happily accepted Maciej’s ideas which involved the completion of a granite wall, a new and effective driveway gate and the installation of a high, sturdy fence held firm by stakes planted into the tarmac. In addition, he erected a border fence on the other side of the driveway gate. All done on challenging ground.
All the work has been completed in a timely fashion and to the highest standard. We would certainly wish to employ Maciej again should we have any landscaping needs in the future.

Maciej built two fences for us and we were delighted with his work. He was very easy to deal with, responsive to calls/messages and he was punctual keeping appointments. His work was excellent, solid, very tidy and well-priced. We would have no hesitation in recommending him to others and we will be using his services again ourselves!

I thoroughly recommend Oakwood Creative Landscaping Ltd.
Reliable, hardworking, and efficient Oakwood takes a real interest in the job at hand.
When the task is completed, everything is left spick and span.

We had extensive gardening work carried out last summer. As part of that, Maciej laid down a wonderful patio which we are extremely impressed with. He is very professional and clearly sets himself high standards - being a client it is more than reassuring when you see how much of a perfectionist he is! Maciej gave us a realistic timeline and finished ahead of schedule. He also checked with us if we minded that he worked on the project at weekends. He would also give us time to consider options as he made progress on the works. This was much appreciated as we didn't feel overwhelmed by the prospect of having to make a lot of decisions at the very start. Maciej is very approachable with queries and we really appreciated how responsive he was whenever we contacted him with questions.
We have been left with a great patio and look forward to the summer months when we can enjoy being out on it regularly. Can't recommend his services highly enough
